Welcome to South Birmingham Photographic Society. We are a friendly club, affiliated to the PAGB and MCPF. We meet at 7.30 pm on Friday evenings from September to April at The Friends Meeting House on the corner of Hamlet Road/Stratford Road in Hall Green. At those meetings we have external speakers on a variety of photographic topics, internal competitions and inter-club competitions, critique evenings and presentations from members.
We welcome anyone with an interest in photography whatever their area of interest and expertise. A simple compact camera or the latest SLR, it doesn't matter what your level is. We don’t ask you to pay a membership fee for your first couple of visits to us.
Once a month we meet for an informal practical evening. The topics for discussion can include the use of photographic software, mounting of prints, understanding your camera, how to make an audio visual show, whatever is requested. There is a nominal charge for these evenings.
